Participants may not give or sell their bib to anyone else. However, they can transfer their bib to another participant through our OFFICIAL BIB TRANSFER instructions. This option is available up until mid-April. There is no fee to initiate the transfer, but the recipient of the registration must pay a $10.00 fee to redeem the transfer. The individual transferring the registration will not receive a refund, per our refund policy signed during the registration process. 

*Please note: Any purchased add-ons will NOT be transferred. 

How it Works:

  • Initiating The Transfer
    • To initiate the transfer, head over to your Runsignup profile HERE (make sure you are logged in!)
    • Click on ‘Manage My Registration‘ next to your OC Marathon Running Festival registration. 
    • At the top of the page, click on ‘Transfer To Someone Else‘.
    • Type in the information of the individual you will be transferring your registration to in the appropriate boxes.
    • Click the blue button ‘Transfer As Gift‘.
    • Once this is complete, an email will be sent to the individual you transferred the registration to, and they MUST follow the instructions below to redeem as soon as possible.
  • Redeeming The Transfer 
    • You will receive an email from Runsignup letting you know a registration has been gifted to you to claim. 
    • Click on ‘Claim Transfer‘ within the email, and follow the instructions to register and pay the $10.00 transfer fee. 
    • You will only be able to register for the event that has been gifted to you, as stated in the email. If you would like to switch your event after you have registered, please do so using the instructions HERE. 
    • To confirm the transfer has been redeemed, look out for a confirmation email from Runsignup with your registration information.
