Changing Lives, Changing the World: Team World Vision

Team World Vision is a longtime charity partner of the Hoag OC Marathon, and we are happy to have them back again for 2025! They are a nonprofit Christian Humanitarian organization committed to supporting children, families, and communities around the world in reaching their full potential by tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice. In fact, World Vision is the largest non-governmental provider of clean water in the world! Through their amazing efforts, they have supported 8.2 million people to improve their hygiene habits, constructed latrines for 2.7 million households to improve sanitation, and provided clean water to 3.4 million people. 

At The 2024 Hoag OC Marathon Running Festival, Team World Vision raised over $375,000 with a total of 145 runners! As they embark on another year of crushing their fundraising goals, they are committed to exceeding expectations once again and create a lasting change in the lives of children and families globally.

Supporting Southern California: World Vision’s Response to Wildfires

“It’s great you’re helping other countries, but what about our country?” World Vision’s impact extends beyond global efforts, they’ve also been making a significant difference right here in our Southern California community. In recent weeks, the organization has been actively responding to the devastating wildfires in the region. They’ve sent truckloads of relief supplies from their nationwide warehouses, which include water, food, masks, gloves, bedding, diapers, hygiene kits, toys for displaced children, and other critical resources. In collaboration with local churches and partners, they’ve worked tirelessly to distribute these supplies to communities in the LA area, offering vital support to those affected by the fires.
