Empowering the Next Generation in Orange County Through WeROCK at The 2025 Hoag OC Marathon

We are excited to be partnered with We Run OC Kids (WeROCK) for the 2025 Hoag OC Marathon! WeROCK has been participating in The Hoag OC Marathon since 2010, and last year won the award for largest run club out of over 100 participating clubs. WeROCK is an integral part of the Orange County running community, and we are proud to partner closely with them to enhance their mission.

The WeROCK Mission

Based on the idea that life is like a Marathon, the mission of WeROCK is to teach our community’s teenagers the important life skills of goal setting, self-reliance, discipline and self-confidence through the design and delivery of instructional programs focused on the proper training for, and completion of, a marathon.

The WeROCK Vision

As an organization, We Run Our Community’s Kids is committed to providing:

  • Education and ongoing exposure to the most up to date health, nutrition and physical fitness information available via the latest in medical research. 
  • Training for our runners, staff and volunteers to ensure that our participants carry these life lessons with them into, and throughout, adulthood.
  • Support for our teams by involving the families and community members of the participants in the training, mentoring and motivation of our runners.
  • Encouragement to empower Orange County’s youth to accomplish goals well beyond the scope of a 26.2 mile run.

Runner Rebate Program

To make supporting WeROCK even more fulfilling, we’re pleased to offer the Runner Rebate Program. Runners who commit to fundraising for this charity can receive a full refund of their registration fee by meeting the fundraising goals! Here’s how it works:

  • For the 5K, raise $150 and receive a 100% refund of your registration fees.
  • For the half marathon, raise $350 and get a 100% refund of your registration fees.
  • For the full marathon, raise $500 and you’ll receive a 100% refund of your registration fees.
  • For the 5K/Half Combo Crush, raise $650 and receive a 100% refund of your registration fees.
  • For the 5K/Full Combo Crush, raise $750 and receive a 100% refund of your registration fees.

By achieving these fundraising goals, you can run for free while making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people through WeROCK’s mission.
