Impact Giving: Empowering Women to Create Lasting Change - OC Marathon | OC Half Marathon & 5k

We’re excited to introduce Impact Giving as one of our 2025 Hoag OC Marathon Charity Partners! Founded in 2009, Impact Giving has grown from a small group of five friends to a powerful network of over 140 women committed to creating positive social change through collective giving. Since its beginning, the organization has awarded more than $2.1 million through 92 grants to 52 nonprofit organizations, addressing critical issues such as education, health, social justice, and more. Some of their grant recipients, past and present, include Stand Up For Kids, WISEPlace, and Orangewood Foundation – two of which are current charities for the OC Marathon, and one from our Run For a Claus race event.

Impact Giving empowers women to lead in philanthropy and make a difference. For a nominal donation or Partner fee, women can connect with like-minded individuals, evaluate nonprofit organizations, and pool resources to fund impactful projects. By combining financial resources, knowledge, and experience, their partners collectively decide where to allocate grants, ensuring their donations create a lasting impact. Over the past 15 years, Impact Giving has supported numerous nonprofits and provided a platform for women to grow personally and professionally.

This organization believes in the power of many to achieve greater things together. By joining, individuals can enhance their leadership abilities, connect with others, and become part of a community dedicated to making a real difference in the world – amplifying the impact of each contribution far beyond the initial grant.

Runner Rebate Program

We’re excited to offer an even more rewarding way to support Impact Giving with our Runner Rebate Program. Runners who fundraise for this charity can earn a full refund of their registration fee by meeting the following fundraising goals! Here’s how it works:

For the 5K, raise $150 and receive a 100% refund of your registration fees.
For the half marathon, raise $350 and get a 100% refund of your registration fees.
For the full marathon, raise $500 and you’ll receive a 100% refund of your registration fees.
For the 5K/Half Combo Crush, raise $650 and receive a 100% refund of your registration fees.
For the 5K/Full Combo Crush, raise $750 and receive a 100% refund of your registration fees.

By achieving these fundraising goals, you can run for free while supporting an incredible cause that helps further advance Impact Giving’s mission.
