Year 19 for Team Jake at the OC Marathon feels like a revival of sorts. The OC Marathon and Project Possible have continued to find ways to lift each other up for 19 years, and this year feels like a celebration of all who have participated–from runners to water station leaders to donors. Our partnership represents the very best in people who see endless possibilities and a Life Without Limits for all! Project Possible is excited to continue their tradition of serving runners at Mile 11 and preparing them for the big push up the hill to the finish line of the half marathon or as a springboard to the second half of the full. Jake’s younger brother, Brady, will honor him with his first-ever full marathon while being guided by Jake’s older brother for the 26.2. The rest of the family will be sprinkled around the course, either running the half marathon, supporting runners at the Team Jake water station, or waiting anxiously to congratulate runners fulfilling a dream at the finish line.

One thing remains a constant at the OC Marathon for Team Jake and, by extension, Project Possible: This organization is inspired and energized by remembering Jake and the day they spent together in his honor at their first OC Marathon. They are grateful for the platform the OC Marathon provides to support the work that Project Possible and so many other awesome charity partners are doing. And, they are delighted by the chance to share their hopes and dreams for the special needs kids and families they serve in Orange County and around the globe.
